Our Mission

It can be difficult for a young person arriving in Geneva to integrate into the local way of life and its customs.

Board and outdoor sports are excellent social vectors to reinforce Geneva's social cohesion. They also allow us to transmit positive life values. Hence, we have decided to make an active use of them.

Through board and outdoor sports, we promote a healthy lifestyle made out of encounters, sports, and self-development. We also hope to strengthen the social cohesion of the city, by limiting communitarianism and discriminatory practices.

Our Story

Rookie Slash was born within the Association Lémanique de Ski et Snowboard Freestyle (ALSF) in the winter of 2021-2022. The initial project allowed 10 young refugees to learn skateboarding, trampoline and ski/snowboarding, while being introduced to the local freestyle community.

Due to the success of the winter program, coaches and organizers have decided to establish the Rookie Slash Association in March 2022 to expand and continue the initiative.

Since then, we have been giving weekly lessons in board sports and outdoors... at no cost to the youth!

Our Story

Dû au succès du programme d’hiver, coach et organisateurs ont décidé de monter l’association Rookie Slash en mars 2022 pour agrandir et poursuivre l’initiative.

Depuis, nous donnons des cours hebdomadaires de sports de glisses et outdoor… et cela gratuitement pour les jeunes!
